In a 2007 Connecticut home invasion that occurred at the residence of Dr. William Petit, the doctor’s wife and two daughters were murdered at the hands of two paroled burglars. On Mother’s Day 2006, high school senior Samantha Guzman was just weeks away from graduating and wearing her crown as prom queen. She picked out a beautiful red dress to wear to prom. She proudly modeled it for her mother and imagined the tiara she would wear the night she was crowned prom queen. But just a few weeks away from the dance, on Mother’s Day 2006, Samantha was killed. She never got the chance to wear her gown. Instead, her mother buried her in it. Weeks later, her mother was handed her diploma.

Police hope the arrest of seven reputed gang members in the Bronx will bring them closer to solving the 2006 murder of a Staten Island student, according to a report.

The alleged members of the Bloods gang were implicated in several brutal acts of violence, and are believed to be associates of the killer of 18-year-old Samantha Guzman, a McKee High School senior.

Samantha was gunned down May 14, 2006, on a Bronx street corner after her group of friends interrupted an apparent robbery.

Shot twice in a hail of bullets, she died two hours later at Lincoln Hospital.

On June 8, 2008 the tiny town of Weleetka, Oklahoma was rocked to it’s core when two young girls, Skyla Whitaker, 11, and Taylor Placker, 13, best friends, were found shot to death while walking along County Line Rd. The tragic case brought immediate national media attention and an aggressive investigation, OSBI and FBI included. Hundreds of tips and suspects later, the case may be closer to a resolution as agents are honing in on a specific gun purchased at a gun show.

On July 15, 2011, Ashley Celeste Taylor, 23, was reported missing from Okmulgee, OK, a town near Weleetka, supposedly after an argument with her fiance, Kevin Sweat. Sweat was subsequently arrested and confessed to her murder, telling officials that her remains were buried off of Highway 75. In early August, 2011, searchers found human bone fragments, pieces of clothing and glasses consistent with Ashley’s on the property of Kevin Sweat’s father, near Weleetka.

The investigators are now turning a closer eye to the theory that Kevin Sweat could be responsible for the slaying of the young girls along with his fiance, Ashley Taylor. New information is being discovered daily.

Crime Wire will devote a full hour to a story about a grandson who found his grandfather’s killer after more than 40 years. Dr. Clem Pellett, an oral surgeon who lives in Washington State, will share an old family story that focuses on two men: Clarence Pellett…a grandfather that Dr. Clem Pellett never knew…and a drifter named Frank Dryman.

On April 4, 1951, Clarence Pellett picked up hitchhiker near Shelby Montana. The hitchhiker was Dryman, then a 19 year old drifter who was carrying a gun. Dryman shot and killed Clarence Pellett and left him by the side of a mountain road. Dryman took the car and drove to Canada where he was later arrested for the murder.

After several trials and appeals, Dryman was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, then paroled in 1969. Less than two years after his parole, Dryman disappeared. Corrections authorities listed him as “absconded”. And that is where the old family story stopped for nearly 40 years.

In 2009, Dr. Clem Pellett came across some newspaper clippings about the murder, which had occurred two years before he was born. With the help of three private investigators, Dr. Pellett found Frank Dryman living as a notary public and operating a wedding chapel in Arizona. Dryman, who had been changed his name, was arrested and returned to Montana.

Christopher Rudow of Buffalo, NY was murdered in hisapartment in January of 2010. He was 32 years old.

Buffalo Police still list the case as unsolved and havetold his mother, Linda Olenski, that the killer used “blunt force trauma” toend Christopher’s life. Police also told her that it appeared to be a crime ofpassion and that Chris probably knew his killer.

There was no evidence of forced entry or a break in.Whoever killed Chris was let into or had means to enter the apartment.

SEGMENT TWO: THE HEATHER BROADUS CASE

HeatherBroadus, a 27-year-old woman, was found dead Monday, August 30, 2010 in the 300block of East 56th Street in Long Beach, CA according to Los Angeles Countycoroner’s records.

Apasserby found Broadus’ body lying on the sidewalk about 6:30 a.m. and called911, according to a Long Beach Police Department news release.

TheLong Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered Broadus lyingin a parkway. She had been shot more than once in the torso. Based onpreliminary information, police believe Broadus was shot at some point theprevious night. Some of the neighbors who lived in the area remembered hearinggunshots at approximately 2:30 am, but no one called the police. Shootings inthat area are not uncommon.

We update the death of 11 year old Celina Cass, the girl who went missing from her home in northern New Hampshire in July and was later found wrapped in bedding in a river about a ¼ mile from her home. An autopsy was performed however the Medical Examiner was unable to determine the manner and cause of death. Days ago, police received toxicology reports and have announced that Celina Cass was murdered. Police said they know what caused the girl’s death but are not making it public. Frank Cullotta was born in Chicago in 1938. He began his decades-long criminal career as a teenager, graduating from petty theft to burglary, armed robbery, arson and murder. While growing up he met another young tough on the streets of the Windy City: Tony Spilotro. The two boys became friends and criminal allies.

As they grew older Frank preferred to operate independent of the Mob. But Tony went on to become a made man and feared enforcer of the Chicago Outfit. And in 1971 the Outfit bosses sent him to Las Vegas to keep an eye on their casino interests.

Returning to Chicago after being released from prison in 1974, Frank was invited to join Tony in Sin City. It was an offer he initially declined. But by 1979 Frank was under intense pressure from law enforcement in Chicago and agreed to join Tony in Vegas. His role was to watch Tony’s back and apply muscle as necessary. To accomplish that, Frank formed and ran a crew of burglars, robbers, arsonists, and killers that became known as the Hole in the Wall Gang.

However, Frank and Tony had a falling out in 1982; and at Tony’s request the Chicago bosses approved a contract to have Frank killed. Facing either life in prison for his myriad crimes or death at the hands of Outfit hit men, Frank rolled and became a government witness. His subsequent testimony resulted in the convictions of several of his former associates. He was preparing to testify against Tony Spilotro in June 1986, but Spilotro himself was murdered by the Outfit just prior to the trial getting underway.

In 1995 Frank was contacted by screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi regarding the Martin Scorsese film Casino. He was hired as a technical consultant to the movie in which actor Joe Pesci played a character based on Tony Spilotro; and Frank Vincent played “Frankie,” a character based on Cullotta. In the film Frank appeared in several scenes as a killer, including one that was a fictionalized version of a murder he actually committed in Las Vegas in 1979.

Today, armed with a new government issued identity, Frank is out of the federal Witness Protection Program. He currently appears in organized crime documentaries and occasionally makes public appearances. In 2007 he wrote his biography titled CULLOTTA – The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster, and Government Witness.

In August 1972, 27- year-old Marine Sgt. William Miller returned toCamp Lejeune,North Carolinafollowing a deployment inOkinawa. But when he arrived at the home he shared with his wife Vickie and Wendy, their 1-year-old daughter, he found that while he was away another Marine, George Hayden, had taken up residence in his house.

On Sept. 16, 1972, Miller received a call from his estranged wife to meet him onWestern Boulevard. Less than 20 minutes later, Miller was found dead in the street, shot twice with rounds from an M-16. A few days later, Hayden showed up at the neighbor’s house and took the alleged evidence Miller had collected against him. Detectives suspected Hayden of killing Miller, but couldn’t gather sufficient evidence for an arrest.

George Hayden, former Belhaven police chief, to be free man after conviction overturned

George Hayden, former police chief of Belhaven will be a free man next week. Hayden has been in prison for the murder of the husband of a woman he was living with at one time. The victims was killed on a lonely road in Onslow County late one night in 1972 and Hayden was convicted of the crime on May 26, 2010 and sentenced to life in prison.

The N. C. Court of Appeals ruled in June of this year that Hayden did not get a fair trial because the evidence presented against him was not sufficient to convict him. This week the N. C. Supreme Court refused to hear the state’s appeal so Hayden should be released from prison shortly.

Her mother begged her to stay at her home, however, Danielle said if she didn’t go home it would be a far worse punishment. She left and has never been seen again. Her husband has not been considered a suspect by police.

Her young daughter resides with her grandparents and Danielle’s parents have been continually searching for their needed answers as to what happened to Danielle?

Danielle would never go without contacting her family and daughter. At one point, a woman told her mother that she had reliable information that Danielle was choked and put in the city landfill. At the same time, when questioned by police, the “source” wavered on her statements and therefore was not considered to have “first hand knowledge.”

Family and friends have been desperately searching for Danielle. They would honor interviews with the media to help get the message to the public about their missing and loved Danielle. The family is hoping and praying, that by some miracle, perhaps someone abducted Danielle, maybe even drugged her and trafficked her. While that would be a parent’s worst nightmare, the alternative is far worse. They beg if anyone has information to please contact authorities. If you are afraid, please send an anonymous letter to the police ..but please do something to help her parents, her daughter, her sister, grandparents and friends to bring Danielle home.

Segment One: The Victor Bach Case

Victor Bach, 71, was foundbeaten to death at his Western Plumbing and Heating business on Treat Avenue in San Francisco on Oct. 31,2003. During their investigation homicide detectives uncovered evidenceof fraud committed against Victor’s business.

On December 22, 2004, Victor’s widow, KathleenBach, was arrested on fraud and embezzlement charges. However, the case didn’tgo to trial until nearly four years later, with testimony finally beginning onOctober 27, 2008. While awaiting court action the Bach family filed a civilwrongful death suit against Kathleen on October 28, 2005, alleging that she wasresponsible for her husband’s death.

On November 14 Kathleen was foundguilty on 13 counts in the $2 million fraud. On June 30, 2008, after a seriesof postponements, the widow Bach was sentenced to nine years and eight monthsin prison. Although it was less than the prosecutor and Victor’s family wanted,it was a victory. In spite of a $127,000 reward, no arrests have been made inregard to Victor’s murder.

Segment Two: The Joseph Martinez Case

OnSeptember 10, 2010, 20-year-old Joseph Martinez was shot to death just insidethe front door of his home in Richmond, California.

At around 4 p.m. that day,Joseph’s mother, Barb Myers, saw her son across the street from their home,where his car was parked. He was talking with a black male, age 17 to 20, whowas sitting on a bicycle. Barb felt that Joseph seemed uncomfortable and had astrained expression on his face. When he returned inside the house she askedhim about it. He said only that he knew the other young man. When Barb and hersister left to go to dinner a few minutes later, the sister noticed the samekid sitting on his bike down the street staring at the Myers’ home.

Upon arriving back at the houseat 6 p.m., Barb and her sister found the street blocked off with crime scenetape. Police were everywhere, including on Barb’s porch. When she asked theofficers what was going on she was told that her son had been shot to death.

So far, the $10,000 reward beingoffered has failed to lead to an arrest and Joseph’s killer remains at large.

Case Backgrounds

First Segment:

Beth Clark, Wendy’s sister, and family friend Karen Beaudin willjoin us to discuss the current status of the case.

Wendy Towle

Wendy Towle was found dead in her Stratham NH home on August 22, 2009. Her death was initially classified as suspicious and sent to the state Attorney General's office for review and later ruled an accidental overdose. The case was then sent back to the Stratham Police Department and Rockingham County Attorney's office for further review. The death certificate states the cause of death as a result of “administered non-prescribed drugs.” It has been nearly two years since Wendy died and her family still seeks answers about her death. Wendy was 38 years old.

Towle was an outdoor enthusiast, she loved to bike, run, swim and hike. She was a certified nurse anesthetist at Elliot Hospital in Manchester and was previously employed by Exeter Hospital. Wendy’s family, friends and co-workers do not believe she could have accidentally or intentionally overdosed.

On August 22, 2009 she met her parents in Concord, NH as she usually did when they were having their car serviced. She would meet them and take them out to lunch and go shopping and return later so that they could pick up their car and return home. Every time they got together, there was always a telephone call from Wendy to let her family know she was home safely. When she left her parents that day she told them she had to go do laundry and go to CVS, which they know by video tapes and the laundry still in the washer and dryer. She called Beth Clark (her sister) to let her know she was headed home and would call her when she arrived. The call never came. Beth called several times and she never called back. Finally the family called the Stratham Police to go and check. Soon the police called back informing Beth that Wendy was dead.

When they found her she had the same clothes on that she wore that day and the groceries were still out on the counter. Also, her air conditioner was on high the apartment was very cold, her sisters claim she never did that “she was a neat freak and very frugal.” Autopsy revealed the two drugs that found in her sister's system were Sevoflurane and nalbuphine, both anesthetics.

When the family arrived at Wendy’s house there were bloody sheets and a comforter that they had to clean up. They were told by the police that it was fine to do so, “the State must have all they need.” They did not question this and assumed the police and the State knew what they were doing. Hindsight being 20/20, the family now wonders why someone who overdosed would have all the bleeding, bruises and dislocated shoulder that she did. Also she would not have stopped and picked up gifts for her sister and niece, groceries, prescriptions and gas up her car on the way home.

The family wants people to know that she had a serious, LONG TERM relationship with Dr. Cornelius “Neil” Sullivan who apparently had other girl friends and a wife. He and Wendy had a safety deposit box that he emptied out after her death. He went in the house after her death and collected "personal belongings". He had a needle and partial vial of Succyinocholine in the trunk of his car; he also lied to the police. Dr. Sullivan was a surgeon and at the time of Wendy’s death was in school to become an anesthesiologist, however after her death he quit school.

Shortly before Wendy’s murder, her sister Beth went to visit her. Beth noticed that Neil never called during her visit, this was very unusual, and that his clothes were missing from the closet.

STATEMENT FROM BETH CLARK:
Neil was actually the first person to see the body (when we are not sure) He had called Wendy's house from his cell Saturday night from the area and got no answer for the second time. No one knows where he was between 8:30 pm - 11:45 pm. No one saw him there but it would seem logical that he would go and check on her. We do know however he was in the house and found Wendy before the police got there.

I had called Wendy Saturday and Sunday. When no one else had heard from her I got worried and called Neil. I had asked Wendy before who I would call if I couldn't get hold of her, (I live 2 1/2 hours away)She had given me Neil's cell phone number. I called him Sunday am and got no answer then again in the afternoon this time he answered and said he was in Boston and was worried so he would go check on her. I waited an hour and called him, he said he was about 15 minutes away. I waited and called again. He said he was there, her car was there but he couldn't get in. I knew he had had a key and when he said ‘maybe I should call the police’, I just did. I did ask him where he was going and he said he would stay in the area.

When the police got there he was not there but a neighbor came over when she saw the police (Wendy lived in a condo and this lady was on the board) The police and the neighbor went in and found Wendy. The neighbor immediately said "Where is the boyfriend?" The police then called me and gave me the news and asked about the boyfriend. I said he was supposed to be in the area. My husband called him and told him the police were looking for him and he returned to the condo. He told the police he had not been in the house and did not have a key. Later during questioning he admitted he had been inside and removed some of his things and they found a key on his key ring.

Valerie Johnson, Bill’s stepdaughter, her son Jamie, and Gene Cervantes of Citizens Against Homicide will discuss the case with the Crime Wire Team.

William Walker

William Arleigh Walker was born on July 19th 1939 in California. He was married to his wife Dorothy Walker for 40 Years. They lived in Ohio and then later moved there family to Moses Lake, Washington where he worked at Swartz Electric for 50 years. William loved to do stuff with his family, such as working on antiques for his wife and kids or working on cars in the shop with the grandchildren.

On August 2, 2008 William, age 69, was killed by a pipe bomb in his own shop at his home where he sustained very violent injuries to his neck and chest. The police thought it was a horrible accident. Hours later, a neighbor passing by told us of the explosion heard throughout the neighborhood.

Explosion? This is the first we had heard of an explosion! According to the detectives, six (6) people in the area heard an explosion and no one called 911 . . .

Bill lay in his shop for hours.

The police thought it was just a horrible accident, and told the family that some lanterns and a battery charger exploded in his garage, killing him instantly. The family wasn’t convinced, they knew Bill was not careless; he would always take precautionary measures to prevent something like this from ever happening.

Early the next morning, local detectives, Washington State Police Officers, FBI bomb techs, plus an Army bomb squad with a dog . . . arrived on scene.

Later that day, the family was informed it was a bomb, placed in a battery charger.

Later that evening there was another pipe bombing in Moses Lake that killed another man. It has been three years since he was killed and we still to this day have no answers as to what happened. The family of William A Walker would like to know what happened to their Father, Grandfather and friend. We want to know who could have done something this violent to a very loving, and caring man who would do anything for anyone who would give you the shirt off his own back if you had asked for it. He was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone even if it was a complete stranger. William is greatly missed every single day by everyone and anyone that ever knew him and they want answers to who did this. Unsolved 1992 Double Murder: Mort and Howard Custer

Seeking justice for the 1992 double murder of her father and her uncle, Mort and Howard Custer,Denise Savastano became a Private Investigator and took over the investigation of the case in 2009. What Happened to Celina Cass?

Last month, an eleven year old New Hampshire girl, Celina Cass, disappeared mysteriously from her home where she lived with her mother and stepfather and an older sister. Local, state, andfederal law enforcement authorities launched a massive search for the missing girl. The search ended sadly with the discovery the girl’s body in a river about a quarter of a mile from her home. The police have said the girl’s death is suspicious. An autopsy was performed, but the medical examiner could not determine the manner and cause of death. Police are waiting for the results of toxicology examination, and the investigation presses on. Two motor vehicles were towed from the girl’s home. One of the vehicles is registered to Celina’s stepfather, who has checked himself into a medical facility. The stepfather has a history of mental illness. What happened to Celina Cass?

About Sgt. Patrick Rust

Army Sgt. Patrick Rust was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division headquartered at Fort Drum inWatertown, New York. In January 2007 he returned from deployment to Afghanistan. Following a 30 day leave he was back on post in February. The then 24-year-old Patrick was a local boy and was familiar with Watertownand the surrounding area. He didn’t have a driver’s license or vehicle.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2007, Patrick moved from the barracks on base to share an apartment with a fellow soldier at 156 Sterling Street, Apartment 4, inWatertown. At that time the two men had known each other for approximately 15 months.

The following day Patrick rode back to the apartment in his roommate’s car after they were released from duty at around 5 p.m. The roommate stated that at approximately 5:30 he heard Patrick engaged in a phone call with an old friend from Colorado who was visiting the area.

At around 6:30 the two left the apartment and drove to the Salmon Run Mall. While there Patrick purchased some games for his Gameboy PSP player in the Best Buy store. They then went to the food court and got something to eat at Wendy’s. After that Patrick withdrew cash from an ATM machine estimated by the roommate to be between $100 and $300.......(read more)

The friend went tanning at the mall but Rust decided to go home to play his videogames, planning on walking to his apartment on Sterling Street. But instead he went to the Clueless Bar onArsenal Street and met an old schoolmate there. Later, sometime after 1:00 AM, he left the bar. He was never seen alive again.

Rust never showed up for duty and the Army listed him as absent without leave. His cell phone had not been used since that night nor any money taken from his bank accounts. The police said at the time that there had been sightings of him, but nothing substantiated.

Months later, late on the Sunday of September 16th, a farmer cutting hay found human remains off from the Old Rome State Road in the Town of Hounsfield. The remains were totally decomposed. Cash and an ATM card were found in the pockets of the clothes.

It was determined that it was likely the body of Rust, which was sent to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington. D.C. where it was confirmed. The three CD's of video games that he had bought at the Salmon Run Mall were not found.

This crime has never been solved.

The Sheena Morris Unsolved Death in Bradenton Florida

Tonight, August 2, 2011, on the Crime Wire Investigates radio show, as part of our on going flame to justice, we discussed the death and lack of investigation in the unsolved death of Sheena Morris.

On January 1, 2009, the 22-year old was found hanging from a shower in a hotel room located in Anna Marie Island, Florida. Sheena was ending the relationship with her on again off again boyfriend, telling her mother it was coming to an end and things were going to change in the New Year.

It is important to note that a victim of intimate partner violence, never takes their own life as we would learn during the show; often they figure out the best way to move forward minus the violence and live their lives, not take their life! This was not a suicide as initially ruled. Basically, no investigation was done by Bradenton detectives and the crime scene was mishandled. The medical examiner's office relied on those who responded to the scene, and with limited information and incorrect police reports, each a contributing factor in the initial ruling for this case as a suicide.

It would be Kelly Osborn, Sheena's mother, that would gather evidence and information, along with hiring outside forensic pathologists Dr. Michael Baden and Dr. Michael Berkland, that would allow theFlorida medical examiner to change the manner of death in March of 2011 to "undetermined." That should have been enough to re-open the case, but it was not. Public comments in media interviews labeling Kelly Osborn as a mere "grieving mother" are inexcusable.

In addition, 10 months after Sheena's death, the detective contacted the person of interest and informed him that "he is going to contact his alibi" for the evening in question. This action, in and of itself, is a huge ethics issue. It goes to credibility and can hurt future cases within the department, the county, and for the FDLE.

There were other issues and red flags of importance discussed about this case. The FDLE must takethe lead and step in to investigate. Until they do, we (Crime Wire) will continue to take appropriate measures in the murder investigation and ultimate justice for Sheena Morris. Below is the link to the Crime Wire show.

Sheena placed a call to 911 the night before reporting domestic violence by her dangerous boyfriend. She even took pictures of her injuries, a cut on her neck, on her ring finger.

Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken, she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she makes to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not. Not even the 4 banker boxes full of files, copies of ledgers, key names and dates and other information, seen carried from the out of the apartment according to witnesses by none other than the last person to see Sheena Morris alive.

Instead, her death is incorrectly ruled a suicide by a Bradenton Beach police department who likely failed their instructional crime scene 101 class. "I'm gonna make him famous", says the missing daughter's father. Rightfully so, this clever, abusive coward, also a former police officer, turned rent a cop when he was dismissed by a police department, is not only an abuser of the worst kind, he believes he can get away with, in my opinion, murder.

In this case, the last person to see Jacque Waller alive is none other than her estranged husband, Clay Waller. After meeting with the divorce attorney, Jacque meets with Clay Waller only because she is told by him that their 5 year old son is with his dad. It turned out to be nothing more than a whopper of a lie. The son was not at Waller's home, matter of fact he was in another state with an individual (a string a many women) he was seeing.

"Cowardly killer," comes to mind when I think about the power and control of a man who promised the mother of his children, the woman whom he vowed to love, honor and cherish, permanently remove her from life because she refused to be a victim of his terrorizing and violent attacks.

The divorce was not about money. The divorce was not about child support payments. The divorce was not about splitting assets from the marriage. Jacque Waller wanted NOTHING but her freedom. Allegedly, he told her, "divorcing me will be your death sentence." According to Jacque's father she was going to pay him a sum of $50,000 once the divorce was final.

I am fully aware that a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is not about trying Clay Waller in a court of public opinion. And yes, until she is found, the case is currently circumstantial,. by circumstances that Waller himself puts in motion. Clay Waller doesn't help in the search for Jacque over this past weekend. That's okay, the guilty never do. But, what Waller does is drive several times past the searchers, wave, honk his horn loudly, and give those who look in his direction, the finger.( And no he didn't have a spasm) Waller was taunting and flaunting the fact that he was driving around a free man, for the moment anyway. That will change the moment Jacque is found.

There is new evidence. Law enforcement is doing a hell of a job in preparing their case. It should be no surprise that Waller hires a criminal defense attorney with a rather unique and colorful history of abuse in relationships, himself. And just because his charges were dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor had little to do with the serious nature of the crimes, in my expert opinion, and more to do with keeping his law license.

It was an honor this evening to have Mr. Waller and his fan club listen to the live broadcast. Maybe we got through to one of the handful of women he's dating, or the person who has the information about Jacque Waller and where she can be found.

Bottom line, is that the Cue Center will return this weekend and resume searching for Jacque Waller. Anyone with information, is asked to contact either the Cue Center tipline at 910-232-1687. Or law enforcement at 573-243-3151. All information provided is confidential. This means if you know anything, what you provide cannot be traced back to you in anyway.

The sooner we find her, the sooner, another alleged killer will be removed from society so he cannot harm or kill anyone ever again.

The" Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit" or "EAA" records victim's stories, histories, and experiences which are preserved and stored on their behalf. These videos will provide answers to the many questions, allegations, and fears that arise when a person has disappeared, gone missing, or been found dead.

Recent cases, such as missing mother Susan Powell of Utah, Kelly Rothwell of Florida, and women likeStacy Peterson, where the victim’s police officer husband is the person of interest, is the classic example of the benefits of this type of evidence. If Stacy Peterson, or any woman found murdered or is missing, had done an Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit, ON TAPE, from following the information in the “Time’s Up" book on a flash drive, they would be able to describe:

- threats made against her life or wellbeing, including details of how the perpetrator would carry out the threat
- incidents of past abuse that the victim has endured
- admissions or comments made to her about other victims or people abused
- where evidence or weapons would or could be located
- possible alibis that the perpetrator would make up in his defense (including identification of people who could be co-defendant’s or co-suspects)
- portray visible injuries or marks

Just think if we incorporate an effective plan and have it available for every prosecutor, law enforcement, church, family law office and social service agency across the country, lives would be saved. And I wouldn't be writing about women similar to Kathy Brados, killed by a man hell bent on power and control.

The Sandra White case

On April 10, 2006, 65-year-old Sandra White ofWeaverville,North Carolinawas murdered by her 73-year-old husband Ray. He staged the house to make it appear that the death was the result of a robbery gone bad. He went so far as to drive down the highway and throw Sandra’s purse out as a robber may have done. However, after several days of questioning by the police, Ray White confessed to the murder. He was subsequently charged with involuntary manslaughter and posted $100,000 bail.

And then things turned a bit weird. The judge released White to the custody of his brother, David White, inFlorida. Sandra’s family believes that today Ray is living inSt. Petersburgand enjoying life as a free man. The now 78-year-old has yet to stand trial in aNorth Carolinacourt. The family’s efforts to get answers fromNorth Carolinaauthorities have met with non-responses, inaccurate information and stonewalling.

For the last 17 years, Monica’s organization has served families of high profile missing persons cases as well as those who never make headlines. The Lover’s Lane Murders: Update

On August 23, 1990, 22-year-old Cheryl Henry and her 21-year-old boyfriend, Andy Atkinson, were brutally murdered in an undeveloped, wooded area of westernHarrisCountyinHouston,Texas. Both victims had been tied with a rope and their throats slashed. Cheryl had also been raped.

Nearly 21 years later those murders remain unsolved. Joining us to discuss the status of the investigation will be the fathers of the victims, Bob Henry and Garland Atkinson, and Gene Cervantes of Citizens Against Homicide.

The Rick DeVecchi Case

On the morning of December 17, 1998, 37-year-old Rick DeVecchi was working at the family trucking company in Berkeley, California. A person was observed prowling in the back of Rick’s pickup truck, which was parked across the street. Rick was informed, but continued the tasks he was doing. A few minutes later Rick and a co-worker walked out of the gate and began to walk toward Rick’s pickup truck. By this time the suspect had gotten into his own car. He began to drive toward Rick. Without warning he accelerated his car and swerved to intentionally run over Rick. Rick was thrown up and over the car. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died three days later. No one has been arrested for Rick DeVecchi’s murder.

Rick’s brother Randy DeVecchi and Gene Cervantes will explain the current status of the investigation.

On August 10, 1985, Gary Eccher brutally murdered Lianne, Lando. He bludgeoned her, strangled her, submerged her in water and electrocuted her. God only knows the suffering and horror Lianne experienced during her dying moments. On January 24, 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court stated, "There is no right under the federal Constitution to be conditionally released before the expiration of a valid sentence and the state's are under no duty to offer parole to their prisoners - that should have been the beginning and the end." It is believed that this statement by the U.S. Supreme Court is applicable in rendering a decision to find Gary Eccher unsuitable for parole.

The Murder of Joseph DiMare

Over five decades, the murder of wealthy produce merchant Joseph DiMare — shot in the head in his white Cadillac in North Miami on March 24th 1961 — has faded into obscurity amid South Florida’s rich crime lore.

But one man won’t let it go. To Richard DiMare, the victim’s 69-year-old son, the murder probe is a cause championed only by him. For the better part of the past three decades, he has flooded police, prosecutors and politicians with angry letters demanding justice.

On the night of March 24, 1961, Frances DiMare, hysterical and barefoot, stumbled into a gas station at2350 NE 123rd StreetinNorth Miami,Florida.

About 150 yards away, in a vacant lot, the body of her husband, wealthy produce merchant Joseph DiMare, was slumped in the driver’s seat of his white 1961 Cadillac. He had been shot four times, including once through the mouth, with a .25 caliber pistol.

Francestold the police the couple has just left their Keystone Point home when two gunmen jumped into their car as they idled at the red light atNorth Bayshore DriveandNortheast 123th Street. The attackers ordered the couple to drive to the vacant lot next to the Broad Causeway, where they pistol-whipped them. She said she passed out and that when she came to, her 52-year-old husband was dead. No one has ever been charged with the murder.

Over the five decades since the murder the case has faded into obscurity, except for one person. Richard DiMare, Joseph’s son, has been unwavering in his quest to get justice for his father, sometimes becoming an annoyance to local law enforcement.

Missing Joseph Helt

On January 16, 1987, 17-year-old Joseph Helt, ofEllenville,New York, was with friends at the old Mount Cathalia Ski Lodge in Cragsmoor, New York, a popular local party spot. At approximately 3:30 a.m. Joe left in a car with three acquaintances, Kelly Diaz, Wade Marks and John “JP” Laforge. According to these three, their car got stuck in a ditch on Sam'sPoint Road. Joe got frustrated and left to walk back to Ellenville. Kelly and Wade left about 20 minutes later, walking the same way Joe did. John left 10 minutes after that and walked the short distance back to his home in Cragsmoor. Kelly, Wade and John all made it home safely. But Joe was never seen again.

Now, over 24 years later, Joe’s family is still trying to piece together what happened to him that January night. Those efforts are meeting resistance, however. Authorities refuse to release police reports and other documents that are crucial to conducting an independent investigation.

The Murder of Joseph DiMare

Our guest, Richard DiMare will highlight this 50 year fight for justice for his father.

Passage of The Chanda Turner Bill in Oklahoma

Little did Donna and Joe Turner realize that justice for the death of their daughter would be such a long road. Chanda Turner was shot in her home on July 12, 2000 and her death was originally ruled a suicide. Despite repeated requests, the family was denied an autopsy for almost 10 years. Knowing they would never give up fighting to get justice for their daughter, her parents buried her in a sealed casket inside a sealed crypt to preserve her body for the day when they could finally get an autopsy.

Since that time the Turners have been fighting, along with several other families, for reform of a Medical Examiner's Office in which appeals for change were not granted. Attorney Jaye Mendros of Oklahoma City was retained to help these families make changes necessary to give them the opportunity to have a legal mechanism to correct all the mistakes in their cases. The Chanda Turner Bill has gone through all the necessary judicial steps and is scheduled to be signed into law by the Governor of Oklahoma this week.
