Guest, Beverly Simcic, is the author of the new book Who Killed Chrissy?

Who Killed Chrissy? is the story of two young women from Pittsburgh—Beverly Simcic and Christine Casilio—who went to Las Vegas in June of 1982 for a vacation and to check out employment opportunities. Just weeks later, on June 25, Christine’s body was found decomposing in the bathroom of her small studio apartment. The homicide remains unsolved to this day.

Beverly was interviewed by Las Vegas Metro detectives at the time. But in the over 30 years since, she hasn’t shared her knowledge of events surrounding her friend’s death with the public until now.

A miracle, a vision, a premonition, and an unsolved death in Las Vegas, have hung in my memory like a broken antique for the last twenty-four years of my life. I’ve had that long to think about the reason it all happened in the first place and why I was drawn to, and ultimately placed in the old apartment building on Riverview Avenue in Pittsburgh. I’ve had this true story locked in my mind since June of 1982. I have never told this story to anyone—for reasons of paralyzing fear and the fact that the murder has never been solved.
