Two years ago, April, 2010, Susan Murphy Milano released her third book, Time’s Up: A Guide on How to Leave an Abusive and Stalking Relationship which includes the revolutionary tool for leaving abusive relationships safely, the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit.
May 22, 2012 was the last Crime Wire show Susan recorded with co-host, Dennis Griffin, before her death on October 28, 2012, but the information contained in this show is timeless and useful for any victim of abuse who is thinking about getting out safely.Susan Murphy-Milano,ImaginePublicity,Conquering Cancer
On the show Susan talks frankly with 2 survivors of abusive relationships and how important the book Time’s Up and the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit was in securing their safety.
Susan Murphy Milano turned her 20 years of experience in the field of  high risk domestic violence cases into more than a book, a tool for others to use in order to save the lives of those needing escape from a violent or stalking relationship.
Born with an instinct to come up with strategies to escape the abuse happening in her own home, Susan  has consistently used that instinctive gift towards helping others by working with them in the “danger zone.”
Everyone involved in the movement against family violence should have these tools available, especially the unique “Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit” which is a series of forms and a video that will be a voice for victims who need to be heard.  Cases will be resolved and abusers will be arrested.
Safety plans have been created over the years, but nothing like what is set forth in “Time’s Up” has been presented to be used by those who come in contact with a victim every step of the way, such as attorneys, hospital personnel, prosecutors, advocates and shelter workers.  This information needs to be in the victim’s hands as early as possible to prevent any further escalation of violence.
The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (iEAA) is also available as an app in the Apple Store.
Susan’s last book, Holding My Hand Through Hell, is her legacy to all of the victims who are still alive today that were able to come in contact with her unique talents and intuition on how to escape safely.  It will show you why she did what she did to save your life, it’s the true story of who Susan Murphy Milano really was.
Time’s Up and Holding My Hand Through Hell are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, local book stores, libraries and all digital platforms.

Hailey Dunn,Crime Wire,Peter Hyatt,ImaginePublicity
Hailey Dunn went missing on December 27, 2010 while allegedly walking to a friend’s house in broad  daylight in Colorado City, Texas. She was reported missing by her mother, Billie Jean Dunn.
The case quickly turned bizarre with accusations of drugs, child porn, failed polygraphs and Hailey’s mother, Billie Jean Dunn, being named a person of interest in her daughter’s disappearance, along with her live-in boyfriend.
Crime Wire host Peter Hyatt has painstakingly combed through interviews by several people connected to the case and has found deception in their words where truth should have prevailed.
In this show Peter will be discussing how the statements made by Billie Jean Dunn are being used to train investigators.

Today, the New Orleans Police Department still doesn’t want to know or hear anything about the Gabe Caporino case – or the reports. That’s why I filed a lawsuit Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 in the Parish of New Orleans. My attorney, Brett Prendergast, also filed a related motion to obtain all investigative files on behalf of Gabe Caporino’s family. Complete Article

MOB TALK RADIO with Dennis Griffin Welcomes Ex-Mobster, Frank Cullotta

MOB TALK on Crime Wire Radio

On Wednesday, October 12, 9pm ET, co-hosts Andrew DiDonato and Denny Griffin will welcome former Chicago and Las Vegas mobsterFrank Cullotta to MOB TALK on Crime Wire Radio.
Listen LIVE….click here
Frank Cullotta was born in Chicago in 1938. He began his decades-long criminal career as a teenager, graduating from petty theft to burglary, armed robbery, arson and murder. While growing up he met another young tough on the streets of the Windy City: Tony Spilotro. The two boys became friends and criminal allies.
As they grew older Frank preferred to operate independent of the Mob. But Tony went on to become a made man and feared enforcer of the Chicago Outfit. And in 1971 the Outfit bosses sent him to Las Vegas to keep an eye on their casino interests.
Returning to Chicago after being released from prison in 1974, Frank was invited to join Tony in Sin City. It was an offer he initially declined. But by 1979 Frank was under intense pressure from law enforcement in Chicago and agreed to join Tony in Vegas. His role was to watch Tony’s back and apply muscle as necessary. To accomplish that, Frank formed and ran a crew of burglars, robbers, arsonists, and killers that became known as the Hole in the Wall Gang.
However, Frank and Tony had a falling out in 1982; and at Tony’s request the Chicago bosses approved a contract to have Frank killed. Facing either life in prison for his myriad crimes or death at the hands of Outfit hit men, Frank rolled and became a government witness. His subsequent testimony resulted in the convictions of several of his former associates. He was preparing to testify against Tony Spilotro in June 1986, but Spilotro himself was murdered by the Outfit just prior to the trial getting underway.
In 1995 Frank was contacted by screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi regarding the Martin Scorsese film Casino.  He was hired as a technical consultant to the movie in which actor Joe Pesci played a character based on Tony Spilotro; and Frank Vincent played “Frankie,” a character based on Cullotta. In the film Frank appeared in several scenes as a killer, including one that was a fictionalized version of a murder he actually committed in Las Vegas in 1979.
Today, armed with a new government issued identity, Frank is out of the federal Witness Protection Program. He currently appears in organized crime documentaries and occasionally makes public appearances. In 2007 he wrote his biography titled CULLOTTA – The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster, and Government Witness.

Segment One: The Victor Bach Case

Victor Bach, 71, was found beaten to death at his Western Plumbing and Heating business on Treat Avenue in San Francisco on Oct. 31, 2003. During their investigation homicide detectives uncovered evidence of fraud committed against Victor’s business.

On December 22, 2004, Victor’s widow, Kathleen Bach, was arrested on fraud and embezzlement charges. However, the case didn’t go to trial until nearly four years later, with testimony finally beginning on October 27, 2008. While awaiting court action the Bach family filed a civil wrongful death suit against Kathleen on October 28, 2005, alleging that she was responsible for her husband’s death.

On November 14 Kathleen was found guilty on 13 counts in the $2 million fraud. On June 30, 2008, after a series of postponements, the widow Bach was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison. Although it was less than the prosecutor and Victor’s family wanted, it was a victory. In spite of a $127,000 reward, no arrests have been made in regard to Victor’s murder.

Additional info on the Bach case can be found at http://www.friendsofvictorbach.com.

Victor’s sister, Sandra Hayes, and Gene Cervantes of Citizens Against Homicide, will update this troubling case.

Segment Two: The Joseph Martinez Case

On September 10, 2010, 20-year-old Joseph Martinez was shot to death just inside the front door of his home in Richmond, California.

At around 4 p.m. that day, Joseph’s mother, Barb Myers, saw her son across the street from their home, where his car was parked. He was talking with a black male, age 17 to 20, who was sitting on a bicycle. Barb felt that Joseph seemed uncomfortable and had a strained expression on his face. When he returned inside the house she asked him about it. He said only that he knew the other young man. When Barb and her sister left to go to dinner a few minutes later, the sister noticed the same kid sitting on his bike down the street staring at the Myers’ home.

Upon arriving back at the house at 6 p.m., Barb and her sister found the street blocked off with crime scene tape. Police were everywhere, including on Barb’s porch. When she asked the officers what was going on she was told that her son had been shot to death.

So far, the $10,000 reward being offered has failed to lead to an arrest and Joseph’s killer remains at large.

Barb Myers and Gene Cervantes will discuss the case with the Crime Wire Team.

Crime Wire Investigates: The Celina Cass Case and 1992 Unsolved Double Murder of Mort and Howard Custer

 Tuesday, August 9, 9pm ET

Listen LIVE:   Crime Wire Investigates

Unsolved 1992 Double Murder: Mort and Howard Custer

Seeking justice for the 1992 double murder of her father and her uncle, Mort and Howard Custer,Denise Savastano became a Private Investigator and took over the investigation of the case in 2009.  After years of contact with detectives, and not receiving answers, she took possession of boxes of case files.  Her father, Mort, and uncle Howard were found in her father's home, each shot in the head.

Going through a bitter divorce, Denise's stepmother was the first suspect, but was soon ruled out and exonerated.  The divorce attorney and her husband became the next in line as persons of interest.  Her father had loaned the attorney's husband a large sum of money, had audio taped and made written instructions to his family about what should be done to collect the debt.  Mort Custer was in the process of amending his will, getting his affairs in order, at the time he was murdered, never able to complete his wishes.

Denise Savastano will join co-hosts Vito Colucci and Tom Shamshak to discuss the latest in the case.

What Happened to Celina Cass?

Last month, an eleven year old New Hampshire girl, Celina Cass, disappeared mysteriously from her home where she lived with her mother and stepfather and an older sister. Local, state, andfederal law enforcement authorities launched a massive search for the missing girl. The search ended sadly with the discovery the girl’s body in a river about a quarter of a mile from her home. The police have said the girl’s death is suspicious. An autopsy was performed, but the medical examiner could not determine the manner and cause of death. Police are waiting for the results of toxicology examination, and the investigation presses on. Two motor vehicles were towed from the girl’s home. One of the vehicles is registered to Celina’s stepfather, who has checked himself into a medical facility. The stepfather has a history of mental illness. What happened to Celina Cass?

Crime Wire UPDATE: The Sheena Morris Case

Crime Wire Investigates!

The Sheena Morris Case

Tuesday, August 2, 9pm ET

Join the Crime Wire Team as we welcome Kelly Osborn, (Sheena’s Mother) and Dr. Michael Berkland, the Forensic Pathologist who, along with Dr. Michael Baden, re-examined the medical examiner’s reports and both agreed that Sheena’s death was not a suicide.  The family has since been able to have the manner of death changed to “undetermined.”  The authorities in Bradenton Beach, FL are not willing to re-open the investigation, even though there is this new evidence.
On January 1st 2009 Sheena Morris was murdered in her hotel room, yet authorities quickly labeled it a suicide.  She was hanging by her neck in the shower by one of her Yorkies’ dog leash.  The crime scene was most fascinating as were the circumstances surrounding her ‘sudden’ suicide.
Sheena placed a call to 911 the night before reporting domestic violence by her dangerous boyfriend.  She even took pictures of her injuries,  a cut on her neck,  on her ring finger.
The people in the next room called 911 the night before her murder to report the domestic disturbance and sound of violence next door. ……(Dr. Laurie Roth)
Sheena Morris had obtained damaging evidence on alleged illegal activities. Shortly before she died, the keys to her apartment were taken, she was physically attacked. You would think that the 911 call she makes to police would have an impact on the investigation, or the other facts of significance in her death that are just now surfacing, but they do not. Not even the 4 banker boxes full of files, copies of ledgers, key names and dates and other information, seen carried from the out of the apartment according to witnesses by none other than the last person to see Sheena Morris alive.
Instead, her death is incorrectly ruled a suicide by a Bradenton Beach police department who likely failed their instructional crime scene 101 class. The County Sheriff’s office, who have more experience in death investigations of intimate partner homicides, should have been called in to handle this case, and because of the association to organized crime with the Genovese family…….(Susan Murphy Milano)
