Dennis Griffin has stepped down from the helm of Crime Wire to fulfill obligations to new books and new ventures.  For the faithful followers of Crime Wire this news is bitter sweet. We’re happy that Denny is pursuing his dreams and passions, but we will miss him and his expert input from week to week.
Crime Wire has gone through several changes since it’s inception several years ago when it was established withDenny Griffin and Susan Murphy-Milano as co-hosts. Denny and Susan were an exceptional team that played off of each other brilliantly. There are hundreds of shows in the archives for fans of the show to listen to as they wish, covering many cases and topics. Susan Murphy-Milano lost her battle with cancer on October 28, 2012.
Always true to the original notion of helping families bring more attention to cases of unsolved homicides, missing persons, intimate partner violence, and other related crime stories, the show will continue under the leadership of the very capable Kim Kolton.
Kim Kolton has worked side by side with Denny since Crime Wire began. She has served as the Crime Wire Director of Research, but her duties have gone well beyond that title. Kim has been the Producer of the show and long time co-host. She is the one who is first to talk to potential guests, screening cases and researching the details. She will no doubt continue her due diligence for the future success of the show.
Dennis N Griffin
For someone who “retired” in the late ’90′s Dennis Griffin’s second life has been filled with opportunity. He has made a name for himself as one of the premier true crime authors covering the history of the Mob in Las Vegas, to which he has devoted a lot of his writing, along with other tales of criminals and the crimes they survived. Denny’s presence on the show will be missed, but he promises to make occasional appearances when time allows.
Denny will continue on the Inside Lenz Network with his monthly show, “We Know a Guy” which examines anything Mob related and features many of the characters Denny has written about in his books.
Let’s toast to Denny Griffin in style!
Join the show, not to say goodbye, but to wish him well in all his future endeavors.

Baby Lisa Irwin,Crime Wire, ImaginePublicity
How does a beautiful, blonde, blue eyed baby disappear out of her bed in the wee hours of the morning? This is the story told about the disappearance of Baby Lisa Irwin, whom her parents say was snatched from  her bed in Kansas City, MO by unknown abductors.
Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradley, and her father, Jeremy Irwin discovered Baby Lisa missing after Jeremy returned from work the morning of October 4, 2011. It’s widely reported that Bradley claims she checked on Lisa at around 6:30 the night before and  she was asleep in her bed, but it’s also reported that Bradley had been drinking heavily that night with others in her home.
The case quickly became “high profile” and the parents’ every move scrutinized by the press, and their statements analyzed by Peter Hyatt for signs of deception.
The parents have appeared on several popular news shows to explain the circumstances and to appeal for Lisa’s return from her abductors.
Was Lisa abducted?

Crime Wire: Statement Analyst, Peter Hyatt, Updates the Case of Missing 6 year old, Isabel Celis

You can hear Crime Wire Investigates beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Please visit our Crime Wire Website.

Together we can make a difference.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

Where is Isabel Celis?

6 year old Isabel Celis has been missing from Tuscon, AZ since April.  Children reported missing usually get top priority from law enforcement, and national and local media outlets.  This case seems to have grown cold, and when information dries up, so does the media coverage and investigations.
Sergio and Rebecca Celis, parents of Isabel who reported her kidnapped from her bedroom, remained silent in the beginning of the investigation, but decided later, and urged by police, to speak out about their missing daughter. Much can be gleaned from their statements to the press.
There is blood evidence, prank 911 calls, the father restricted from seeing his other children and family, and yet, no arrests, and more importantly, no clues on where Isabel Celis may be.
Many theories are floating around about possible human trafficking, sexual assault, and who the kidnappers could be, but nothing in the way of concrete evidence seems to be leading authorities to answers.
Peter Hyatt has covered the case extensively and will update listeners on the latest developments as well as discuss what statements those surrounding the case reveal.  Is the truth being told?

Crime Wire: Crime Wears a White Collar!

Please visit our Crime Wire Website.

Together we can make a difference.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

Crime Wire delves into white collar crime with discussion of the

eCONNECT scandal.

eCONNECT was established in 1997 to develop the usage of simple inexpensive equipment that could be used from homes, offices, cars and public locations and which would enable the consumer to effect secure electronic commerce transactions by either credit cards, ATM cards or value added cards. These transactions were defined as P.E.R.F.E.C.T. transactions in that they would enable the sender to Personally Electronically and Remotely send Financial Electronic Card Transactions.

However, on August 11, 2003, eCONNECT CEO Thomas S. Hughes pleaded guilty in federal court to three counts of securities fraud and one count of criminal contempt, for which he was sentenced to eight years in prison. What went on at eCONNECT during those six years that caused Mr. Hughes to end up behind bars?

Host, Dennis Griffin will get answers to that question from a former eCONNECT insider Manny Vavolizza and investor Judy Squires. Dr. Scott Bonn, Professor of Criminology and author of Mass Deception, will also be on hand to provide his expert analysis of white collar crimes.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

The mass shootings in an Aurora, CO theater shocked the nation. Twelve people were unexpectedly murdered and over 50 others wounded, the gunman arrested shortly afterwards.
Dr. Scott Bonn, Doc Bonn,ImaginePublicityCrime Wire welcomes criminologist and media analyst, Dr. Scott Bonn to discuss the criminal behavior and patterns of conduct of shooter, James Holmes, a former neuroscience student. News accounts report that Holmes allegedly began stockpiling gear for his assault four months ago, and authorities say he bought his weapons in May and June, well before the shooting spree. Does this action create premeditation? Did Holmes pull off this crime alone, or were others involved?
Many questions still remain unanswered about exactly who James Holmes is, what his motives are for arming himself and shooting into a crowded movie theater, and how will he be prosecuted. As the nation awaits his formal charges, will his attorneys try to bargain his plea to insanity? Is Holmes a serial killer, spree killer or mass murderer, Dr. Bonn will explain the difference.
Join the show and the discussion about many of these unanswered questions, and a glimpse into the mind of a killer with host, Dennis Griffin and guest Dr. Scott Bonn.

Crime Wire: BULLIES, What Makes Them Tick?

You can hear Crime Wire Investigates beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Please visit our Crime Wire Website.

Together we can make a difference.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

Bullying is a distinctive pattern of deliberately harming and humiliating others. It's a very durable behavioral style, largely because bullies get what they want—at least at first. Bullies are made, not born, and it happens at an early age, if the normal aggression of two-year-olds isn't handled well.....

Gracie Fulljames and Dennis Griffin  will continue our discussion of bullying with Professor of Criminology and criminal behavioral expert Dr. Scott Bonn. During the hour they’ll be joined by former teacher, a current teacher and a victim of bullying, as well as taking calls from the audience.
Dr. Scott Bonn, Drew University Sociology Professor, will be on hand to tell us what makes a bully tick and discuss anti-bullying programs with current and former teachers.

Scott Bonn is not your average academic.  He teaches courses in criminology, sociology of deviance, media and crime, and criminal justice.

Doc Bonn’s primary research interests include white-collar crime, state crime, domestic violence, serial homicide and how the media influence society.  His research frequently examines how and why the public forms its beliefs on complex issues such as murder, domestic violence, capital punishment, war crime and terrorism. Bonn is the author of the current book, Mass Deception: Moral Panic and the U.S. War on Iraq which argues that the George W. Bush administration manufactured public support for the war on Iraq.

For more information about Dr. Scott Bonn, please refer to his website DocBonn.Com as well as his Blog for updates on a variety of subjects ranging from drug addiction, domestic violence, media manipulation, crimes of the state, and, of course, serial killers.

The State of Florida has yet to re-open the case of Sheena Morris. There is even evidence and information pointing directing at one stone cold target.  The Florida Department of Law Enforcement are afraid to man up and step-in and undo the damage by inexperienced Bradenton Beach investigators because of potential liability.
The family of Sheena Morris has spent thousand’s of dollars they do not have for outside experts to come in and assist with the case.  Even after the death certificate has been changed from “suicide” because of the experts to now “undetermined” they are afraid if they rule homicide this will expose the County to a law suit by the family.
This is happens to be an election year both State’s Attorney’s and Manatee Sheriff races.  The community has the opportunity to vote out corruption and the “good old boy” network.  If Sheriff Brad Steube is re-elected the community can expect more of politics as usual and excessive waste of government spending and tax payers dollars..  If Ed Brodsky is elected as the new State’s Attorney the citizens are merely passing the corruption baton from his predecessor on to him.
Sheena Morris and other unsolved homicides will receive justice if Peter Lombardo [Website http://peterlombardoforstateattorney.com/] whom is running for office as State’s Attorney and Bill Waldron [Website http://waldron4sheriff.com/] are elected to properly service the people.  We have invited both men to the Crime Wire Show for the hour along with Kelly Osborne, mother of Sheena Morris.

LISTEN LIVE:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/insidelenz

Segment 1:
In 1971 Joan Butterbach vanished and for almost 6 years her family had no idea where she was, or why she was gone.  In 1977, Mark Van Osdale, 16 at the time, was fishing on Lake Tainter when he saw something strange protruding through the surface of the water.  What he saw ended up being Joan Butterbach's car, with her body in the trunk.  According to the Dunn County Medical Examiner, Chris Kruse, "The car was rigged to propel itself into the water without a driver."
Guests include Christopher Kruse, Chief Medical Examiner for Dunn County Wisconsin, and family spokesperson and Crime Wire Director of Research, Kim Kolton.  Questions have been raised about the fact that some individuals knew about the submerged car, and what went wrong in the original investigation.
Segment 2:
On September 4, 2008, 33-year-old Daniel Ray Underwood, his girlfriend Rebecca Nelson, and a friend, Maria Harvick, were at a bar in East Fork, Texas. The three then went back to the home Daniel and Rebecca shared in Springs, Texas. According to Maria, once there, Daniel and Rebecca got into an argument and Maria left the room. A short time later she went back into the room and saw Daniel holding a shotgun in his right hand and accusing Rebecca of taking all his money and burying him in debt. Rebecca grabbed the gun and a struggle ensued. Maria again left the room, and a few seconds later she heard the gun go off. When she stepped back into the hallway she saw Daniel fall to the floor, mortally wounded.
Was Daniel’s death an accident, a suicide, or a homicide? The answer might depend on who you talk to and when.
Daniel's mother,Donna Underwood, and Maria Harvick bring listeners the latest updates about Daniel’s case and where it stands today.
