Dennis Griffin, former host of Crime Wire, is the premier author of books surrounding the Mob and its presence in Las Vegas, both past and present. Frank Cullotta, the mob’s top man in Las Vegas during the 70′s and 80′s turned government witness, is but one of the former mobsters involved in Mob-Con 2013.  Cullotta’s testimony put a huge crimp in the Chicago Outfit’s hold on Las Vegas when several mobsters were put behind bars. With a contract out on his life, Cullotta survived his time in prison, as well as in the witness protection program, and is now a free man!

Robert George Allen is the Producer/Dirctor of the Haunted Vegas Tours, The Vegas Mob Tours and the Goodsprings Ghost Hunt! Dennis Griffin has stepped down from the helm of Crime Wire to fulfill obligations to new books and new ventures.  For the faithful followers of Crime Wire this news is bitter sweet. We’re happy that Denny is pursuing his dreams and passions, but we will miss him and his expert input from week to week.

Crime Wire has gone through several changes since it’s inception several years ago when it was established withDenny Griffin and Susan Murphy-Milano as co-hosts. Denny and Susan were an exceptional team that played off of each other brilliantly. There are hundreds of shows in the archives for fans of the show to listen to as they wish, covering many cases and topics. Susan Murphy-Milano lost her battle with cancer on October 28, 2012.

Always true to the original notion of helping families bring more attention to cases of unsolved homicides, missing persons, intimate partner violence, and other related crime stories, the show will continue under the leadership of the very capable Kim Kolton.

Kim Kolton has worked side by side with Denny since Crime Wire began. She has served as the Crime Wire Director of Research, but her duties have gone well beyond that title. Kim has been the Producer of the show and long time co-host. She is the one who is first to talk to potential guests, screening cases and researching the details. She will no doubt continue her due diligence for the future success of the show.

For someone who “retired” in the late ’90′s Dennis Griffin’s second life has been filled with opportunity. He has made a name for himself as one of the premier true crime authors covering the history of the Mob in Las Vegas, to which he has devoted a lot of his writing, along with other tales of criminals and the crimes they survived. Denny’s presence on the show will be missed, but he promises to make occasional appearances when time allows.

Denny will continue on the Inside Lenz Network with his monthly show, “We Know a Guy” which examines anything Mob related and features many of the characters Denny has written about in his books.

The remains found in Scurry County, TX have been positively identified as

missing 13 year old, Hailey Dunn.

On March 16, 2013 badly decomposed and skeletal remains were found in a field of cactus and brush in Scurry County, Texas, 30 miles away from the area that 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was last seen. Peter Hyatt has written volumes about the case and has offered several theories based upon the vast amounts of statements given by the players in the case in interviews.  For a wrap up of those theories, refer to Hailey Dunn Case Hypothesis

The person who found the remains while searching for fossils around Lake JB Thomas in Scurry County , prison official Curtis Lloyd, will be a guest of host, Peter Hyatt, along with statement analyst and frequent guest, Kaaren Gough.

The public is watching how the players in this case are reacting to the news of Hailey’s confirmed death, specifically her mother, Billie Jean Dunn and her boyfriend, Shawn Atkins, both the only named “persons of interest” in the disappearance of Hailey.

Two years ago, April, 2010, Susan Murphy Milano released her third book, Time’s Up: A Guide on How to Leave an Abusive and Stalking Relationship which includes the revolutionary tool for leaving abusive relationships safely, the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit.

May 22, 2012 was the last Crime Wire show Susan recorded with co-host, Dennis Griffin, before her death on October 28, 2012, but the information contained in this show is timeless and useful for any victim of abuse who is thinking about getting out safely.

On the show Susan talks frankly with 2 survivors of abusive relationships and how important the book Time’s Up and the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit was in securing their safety.

Statement analyst, Peter Hyatt, has followed the case of Hailey Dunn from the very beginning.

On March 16, 2013 badly decomposed and skeletal remains were found in a field of cactus and brush in Scurry County, Texas, 30 miles away from the area that 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was last seen.

The Harringtons are building a legacy in Morgan’s name in several ways.  A scholarship has been set up at Virginia Tech where she attended, an educational wing is being built in Zambia by Orphan Medical Network International (OMNI), and a multi-media campaign titled “Help Save the Next Girl” to raise awareness about the vulnerability of young women to predators and to offer support to other victims’ families.

Guest, Beverly Simcic, is the author of the new book Who Killed Chrissy?

Who Killed Chrissy? is the story of two young women from Pittsburgh—Beverly Simcic and Christine Casilio—who went to Las Vegas in June of 1982 for a vacation and to check out employment opportunities. Just weeks later, on June 25, Christine’s body was found decomposing in the bathroom of her small studio apartment. The homicide remains unsolved to this day.

13 year old Dylan Redwine has been missing from Vallecito, Colorado since spending the Thanksgiving holiday with his father, Mark Redwine. It’s reported that Dylan’s family life was tumultuous and his mother and father had not spoken in several years.

As often happens in cases of missing children from broken homes, there tends to be blame cast on one parent or another. Mark and Elaine Redwine appeared on the Dr. Phil Show and faced each other for the first time in years. It wasn’t a happy reunion. In spite of the fact that their 13 year old son is missing, family drama is played out on national television when Dr. Phil offered Mark Redwine the opportunity to take a polygraph and clear his name. Mark Redwine had quite a few difficulties and stopped the polygraph.

“I do believe that Mark had something to do with Dylan’s disappearance. I do believe he knows more,” Elaine Redwine said.
